Brackets for the intercooler are currently being made up, but I have to get the car inspected to change the colour on the rego, so I may wait awhile with that.jono wrote:So, YAE*BOB is looking pretty schmick, as it did in white too you know, you gotta intercooler under the bonnet vent yet ?
Rolled past your house last night and noted you got some Pug rims. Funny how you got a whole car just for the rims
hahaha, that Pug is the other car of the house hold, I have just snitched the garage untill I get a god layer of wax on to protect the paint. Those Pug wheels also would not fit (405 Pug).
thanks mate, keep up the good work..

recently spied a pair of Mazda RX7 intercoolers at $50 each, they looked to be an easier conversion than the wrx one I bought for same money, they looked cooler and wish i'd bought one for easy reasons. you got one yet ? must have if makin' brackets, so what you got ?

yeah I got me a WRX one to. Does not look to difficult to plumb up once it is securely in place.jono wrote:recently spied a pair of Mazda RX7 intercoolers at $50 each, they looked to be an easier conversion than the wrx one I bought for same money, they looked cooler and wish i'd bought one for easy reasons. you got one yet ? must have if makin' brackets, so what you got ?

I'm a rotary boy from way back, just a warning on these intercoolers - they are generally regarded in the rotary scene as a pretty poor performer. Not a very efficient design at all.jono wrote:recently spied a pair of Mazda RX7 intercoolers at $50 each, they looked to be an easier conversion than the wrx one I bought for same money, they looked cooler and wish i'd bought one for easy reasons. you got one yet ? must have if makin' brackets, so what you got ?

I missed out on ROC as well, it was the weekend we had booked the booth to paint the thing. I was quite disappointed, seem like a rather eventful weekend.smoov wrote:Holy crap man!
I now regret not coming down for the RSLC ROC...to see this!
Also I tried to jump on the ACTRSLC site a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a long time, but no go. Do you know what happened to it Alex?
Just a few quick pics without trim bits, dirty, and without a buff. Once cut back and buffed will try and get some good pics of it, as is may be the only time it well ever be that clean and nice looking again.
Also what about the wheels? thinking I will paint them again, what colour do you reckon to go with dark green? It will probably get superlights eventually so I'll just stick with these wheels for now.

To be honest, Thomas, I don't know what happened to the ACTRSLC. I'll find out though...LTurbo wrote:I missed out on ROC as well, it was the weekend we had booked the booth to paint the thing. I was quite disappointed, seem like a rather eventful weekend.

Mate, back when car magazines weren't about how big your stereo was and being on the cover didn't count on how much negative camber your front wheels had there was an impreza featured that had been sprayed in metallic green with gold pearl over the top and photographed in evening light I thought it was the most sensational colour you could choose and always wanted it for a car. Seems you have done it and I look forward to seeing the pics when its finished!
