Ok, a new point for the equation!

The 'C' in CROBE means that the model variant is +1 from the BROBE RX, the rest of the characters say that it is a MPFI Turbo Manual EA82. Your car is a post 87 model change turbo Leone, which means it is actually not an Australian delivered car. If it does have an Australian ADR Compliance plate I would be very interested and surprised.

Your car is a factory manual transmission turbo though.

Nice clean looking sleeper L.
The turbo sedan i'm pulling apart is a CROBF australian comply ,body manufacture 1985 build date 1988.The parts are mix and match the bonnet is early and so are most external things , mouldings are late, rear cvs late, interior gen2[1.5] even got electric windows.I guess with turbo L sedans they just put em together with whatever was laying around.

got a feeling Lturbo's AWD auto 4 speed has a differing VIN (it is factory) and Oz delivered. The first B is described as changing with model year - but both my 85 and early 87 are both BROBEs turbo auto oz delivered.
The blue interior same as Lturbos's. Mine are brown which is good coz it is an IN colour at the moment :)

well by the sounds of it i'm onto a good thing here! thanks for all your input guys. Actually one thing thats been bugging me about the car that perhaps someone here can answer. I am assuming my car has electric mirrors as there is no manual adjuster that I can find, however there is also no control panel in my car either, are there any perculiarities with these cars' wing mirror adjustments?

The leccy adjuster is on the dash panel directly to right of the key. You probably have the 'adjust the glass' type though

this boy is young aint he ? Dinosaurs didn't have mirrors adjustable from the inside

'the B and C difference is annual minor modification code changes to C, D annually' might mean each year starts off as a B , but if any changes through that year gets a C or even a D !

the E is for tranny code 4WD 5MT. Mine is - F 4WD AT . I think Lturbo has G for AWD AT
