Nice work chubby, that engine, box and diff look impressively schmick, making me tempted to do something similar to mine (sorry to steal the idea, I'll give you credit, I promise  )

Amy reckons I should do that to the sherpa motor, 1 can of paint I could do at least 4 sherpas

No doubt it will look REAL good when we get some pics of it in one piece, keep them coming.

By the way: what happened to the engine you were polishing?

Yeah, the detailed motor does look better, but the polished still looked good.

looks really nice, might do it to #2 motor while its apart.....only thing is
I'm wondering how resilient the engine enamel stuff is?
sure I seen show engines painted up like this, but would it still look as good on a worked race engine for example?
I used the high temp stuff on header /exhaust pipes, after 6months wondered why I bothered?...it flakes in most places and so looks worse.........but I'm hoping ppl will tell us that the engine enamel stuff stays looking good :?:

if it stuffs up i,ll be not to happy but this is not the final motor for this car...if it does not last i,ll look into enadising for the next one or powder coating....leaning towards powder coating.....the final motor will be ej22 quad cam.....sounds like fun

Post by coupe » Sun Nov 13, 2005 9:59 am

Hi Mate
The paint will be fine, i used some on my engine in my mini cooper.
