Isn't there a front tow point ?The front bar on mine you pull off a plastic cover and theres one in there.

Bah there's always a tow point available if it's an emergency...
Wrap a strap around the engine crossmember and out the front for example.
Altho that is extreme emergency, like if its about to get engulfed by the tide :)

Interesting. Gen 3 there"s only one on the front and its clearly labelled tow point,i guess thats an improvement.See if you can find some cars with subaXtreme bar and sump guards pretty sure they had tow points added.

Are they 29's on there now? Surely any bigger won't fit with the strut spring bases?

29's would be great, you could go 235/70/16 and get some Cooper Discoverer Sure Trac (S/T).

There also appears to be a limiting factor with the rear wheel too close to the arch at the rear door, is there a way of moving the wheel back slightly.?

Also at the front, if you go for a bullbar, is there is any way to then move the wheel forward slightly in a similar effect to lengthening the radius rods on the old L?

The above thoughts are based on looking under my 2001 outback.

yeh everybody knows how the lifting bug affects me. NOW im happy with it

and tyres are currently aroun 28"...29's are the limit...i wont be able to fit any bigger...and as it is i think 29;s are gonna be causing me major scrubbing issues on struts etc...but i have to find out.....hey vidler..want to lend me a tyre of goldfish for a day?
