I was hoping for 14's, but the best run was a 15.8@145kph. It takes a couple of secs to properly rev out 1st and falls off boost when it shifts into 3rd. It creeps back up toward 10/12psi from around 5psi as you're crossing the line.
I got a couple of vids though, and there weren't any dramas. The best achievement is being able to drive it home :P
Did Chris ever run it on the 1/4? I'd be keen to see what times he ran!
Haha, have you taken it down the 1/4 before? Please share your techniquesChris_Rogers wrote:you are not driving it properly :P
good for 13.8 .
You reckon my nanna car needs it?:rolleyes:steptoe wrote:droooool . please tell us you have and use a steering wheel locking device ...some say they are a 90% theft deterent and your waggot needs a bit of that.
Chris left a ABS code procedure chart that listed all the code values and how to diagnose which sensors were causing issues. It also had the values for what resistance was acceptable for each sensor. It was pretty easy though, because both sensors didn't change the reading at all haha.Good work on the ABS light out, where'd you learn the values and procedure ???
Sweet! Appreciate it Bryan!Captain Obvious wrote:hey mr sp33, great work with the wagon, looking good!, chris was in contact with me at one point about some turbos i have here, cant remember what they are but will have a look on the weekend for you, i know they were bigger than the one on the car now!
cheers
bryan
I used to leave that car wide open in the middle of a major shopping centre. no one looked twice at it.mr_sp33 wrote:You reckon my nanna car needs it?
Oh neat!Chris_Rogers wrote:they ones on it are VF13/14 the ones bryan has are VF18/19 - they are a direct bolt on. the VF25/26 are another option but you need more fuel before you swap to those. the 18/19 combo will wake it up anyway.
So it's wired to the gear selector, but the button is just faulty? I'll have to find a new nob! (:P)keep the box in power mode. it is a LOT snappier with the changes. the switch needs fixing. use a gear lever off a heritage BG5 as that will match what is there.
Haha, jesus. I was wondering why it shifted so hard for a 'stock auto box'... Because it's not a stock auto box Hahaha.that box btw has a shift kit and 3 extra clutches in 1,2nd gear. there was a reason for the $4.5k receipt that is in the book.
Cheers for the heads up. My Civic has ignition cut at 180 as well (JDM ECU's...) It's not a nice feeling hitting it!if you are playing in nebo with it be VERY careful. it will swap ends with out warning on you. playing out back of north pine dam is equally fun. also the car IS speed limited to 185. if you are going to play on the track with it bear that in mind when it hits a wall at 185. it will ign cut.
Stops on a dime now! Which i'm sure you knowgood to see you got the ABS up again. I never really had time to fully diagnose why it kept throwing the light.
I only post it here, seems like a good community in this neck of the woodsChris_Rogers wrote:I used to leave that car wide open in the middle of a major shopping centre. no one looked twice at it.
then again I didnt pop images of it around the net either nor did it show at a lot of car related events
if you are going to show it off I would find a way to kill the ign on it. an immobiliser WONT do it. (and do not let the 18y/o from the local chain store near it either.)
