My proect build. Started this weekend.
ooooooo.... It’s still a dressed cut! Not like up here the importers thieve all the good stuff off the cuts, unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount more to keep it all on the cut....

Hey guys..
Just a small update with lots of pics:P
Had Will and Daniel come over to help with the TT strip down..
Didn't get too far, but it was still fun to work on it.
i live a good hour away from my parents house where the cut lives, so this weekend just gone was the first time i saw it with my own eyes, and wont be able to see it again till the 16th.. Which on that weekend i will be updating this topic again. Hopefully with the engine and acc out of the cut;)
Anyways.. Nuff blabbering on. Here are some pics of the progress.

Some essentials;)

And to make it more of an eventful weekend. On the way to the shed. A horrible vibration suddenly came noticeable and i had to stop..
After a quick look i found this:(

To make it worse, the weather was not going to play nice and didn't stop raining.
Quick measure and a quicker trip to supercheap, got a bolt, nut and some lock tight and soon was off again:)

That same bush on my car needs to be replaced, i'm sure its torn and is just bouncing around as it pleases... Another one to add to the to fix list (its only a small list but a pain in the arse...)
Keep the pics rolling, love pics of conversions.
And what made you decide on a twin turbo? I thought i heard somewhere that the single turbo motors were better in performance than twin turbos... but i could be wrong there...
Cheers

Thanx guys for the comments.
I decided to go with the TT setup mainly coz its different.. A few ppl have done a wrx conversion to a l series before.. But not too many ppl have done a TT(to my knowledge). Single turbo probably is better? i know it is for on road use, dunno for offroad tho:) will find out soon enough.
Cheers

Ok fellas. Time for another update..
Finally got the engine out of the frame and all of the accessories off the cut.
Very happy with what we got done.. I'd like to thank Daniel, Mic, Will and Josh for their patience in helping me out. Muchly appreciated fellas.
This was the first time i've pulled an engine out. Was quite fun.
Next week ill do another update when the engine arrives at my house.
Looks like i may have to go with the auto box after another re-think about it all.
