On the silver ute? They are the old rims and tyres off the racecar. 30x9.5R15stamp_licker wrote:What size are the tyres?

It actually handles better than you'd expect. I bought the kit on a whim a few years ago for my white ute and then changed my mind. I was stalling on the racecar and I had the 30" tyres sitting there on 4 stud rims so I thought, why not? Now I wonder why I didn't do it years ago.El_Freddo wrote:Bugger me, I would have said 4 inch at the most. How's it handle up that high?
And while we're on this topic, whats the biggest set of wheels that'll fit without rear guard trimming on a 3 or 4 inch lift?
Cheers

I've got used to driving lifted and poorly handling vehicles fast over rough terrain so take that into consideration. Others might find it spooky.
I doubt you could get away with any more than 27"s with a 3" lift.

Only when you give your passengers flying lessons with no warning

There is only one thing you must do in your life. Everything else is a choice.

Tyres still just touch under maximum compression
My new custom front brake lines arrived so I put them in and now I finally have brakes.

Instead of just lengthening the top of the gearstick like I normally do, I tried a different approach and extended both the gearstick and linkage 4" so that I would still have a short throw. Probably went a little far (as usual). Next time I'll try 2" and see how it is. Obviously makes gear selection stiffer as there is less leverage.

Playing around in a creek. Amazing where this thing will go. It would probably flex better without the front HD Kings but I left them in for the 6 cyl conversion.
Also be better with some lower gearing:)
