convert snowfall to rainfall here is ten times the rain to the snow ie get 10mm rain falls as 100mm snow. 16" 400mm snow, 40mm rain. We are getting the wetter stuff here at the moment - feels like a mild winter day and not seen over 29 yet so far this summer.

I know how Jules feels with his import of suspicious components. I had to have a god think about my latest from the US that contained an electronic box, wires and a few bearings. It arrived a little later than expected and has still not mixed with Diesel or fertiliser so still sits there unexploded :)

Just heard that in the UK we are forecast this current cold blast for the next week or so......then it will be winter so we'll be getting more... Damn Blast.... Bangkok seems a long warm time ago now !

The 'flour' has now become 'proper' snow 6 inches approx in Halifax.

Anyhow,
Jules - I took your parcel into my local Post Office today, the guy behind the till weighed the parcel and drew breath from between his teeth and said, do you wanna sit down then ?

They could only do sea freight (What??!!) @ 4 - 6 weeks and wanted £56.00 for the pleasure as well:rolleyes:
I said thanks mate and came away........

I then took it down to my dad's place and weighed it - its just under 2kgs - so my father kindly took it upto his friends engineering place where he has a TNT account. Peter there has arranged the carrage (which I suspect will be airfrieght). As I had a trip further up North today in the snow I was late back so have not caught up with him to get the specifics - but the message I had from my Dad was it would go today.
More news Thursday for you.
BTW the Outback is AWESOME infact BRILLIANT in the snow, made mince meat earlier today of Landrovers, Discovery's and the like. - Bet they were p*ss*d off ! hehehe:mrgreen:

Giles thats actually around what I thought it would cost to send via post what Im amused about is that they said sea post WTF.

Ive gotten parts from the UK before that have arrived quicker than they do from the East coast of Australia and they came via the post.

Glad to hear the Outback loves the snow

on a side note, Mark frozen mars bars work way better :) and are more fun to remove

Hey Jules,

Spoke to my friend Peter about the TNT collection, he is hoping that they will collect from him today, (snow permitting - it's quite bad here atm) he suspects it will go air freight. He has requested standard service - as for cost he wont really know until they bill him, but I can't imagine it being any more than the Royal Mail !
It may take about 2 weeks for the bill to come through, so we can hang fire until then - cost wise - and sort it all out then - if that's ok with you? :D

Cheers

Sigh this thread is rapidly turning into (oh wait it has already) Old Man TOONGA'S tips for bedroom antics (no video's ever as my hairy arse isn't about to grace anyones computer screen)

Exit only means just that, stuff exits from "those exits", nothing goes into "those exits".

is that as clear as mud

What brumby ..... oh wait thats right this is about my brumby :)

I've got the whole of Friday to play so I'm looking at some earthing issues (if I ever see the guy I bought my brumby off...)

I might even be tempted to do an oil and filter change, or at least buy them

apart from that PJ is running really well and since I put the 32/36 on I'm looking at around 500+ km to a tank around the city which is great

what size 'tank' are you getting 500km to ? :)

Gees, mention hairy arse brings back horror flashbacks of the 'service' we got at a fast food drive through weeks back at 2 am." Hi, welcome to mickey D's, can I take your order" was not to be - cruise to the delivery window to order to be met by the indian continentium cleaners big hairy arse carrying on as if they were no longer into 24hr trading and finally a slobby local bred lad leans out, "yeah, wadda ya want?"
