seagulls lifted gen 1 series 2

Post by seagull » Sat May 17, 2008 2:10 am

The run down on my back from the dead gen 1 series 2 liberty
Those that have been on here for some time will recall that I sold my heavly moded gx liberty turbo wagon some 18 months ago . The new owner after 4 days ( 1.5 tanks of fuel ) tryed to do what a ballerina does for a living & spun it on its nose .

Well after a random find on the web I stumbled apon my old lifted Gx liberty wagon for sale , so I called the guy up straight away went and looked at it drove it handed over the $ & its back home .

The damage was > bonnet , L & R gaurds ,head lights , 2 x indercators ,3 x doors .I put a wanted post up and with the help of Ausubaru members tracked the parts down I needed . The windscreen had cracked but a new replacment had been fitted .

In the rear of the wagon was still the cardboard box with the left over paint & clear coat from when it was painted.

so in the last few nights I have collected just about all the parts I need , removed the damaged pannels & fitted the new ones ready for prep & paint .

the build is as follows

Motor:
JDM GT Legacy Turbo half cut , single turbo Vf10 84000ks from new
Gear box:
4.444 auto trans from the above

Its legs:
Out back front struts c/w HD lifted king springs / rear 2wd struts c/w HD lifted king springs

Lift:
75mm lift kit

Rubber:
215x70 r16

Custom made items:
Rear trailing arms , auto trans x member & mount , lift kit
rubber 215x70 r16

This is a bad photo , but this is when I seen it for sale .As you can see its only pannels that need replacing .I got all the bits now to fix & have fitted them & the only bad thing I found was two busted egine mounts , I have replaced them today with STI ones .I also did an oil change & replaced the filter , it had done less than 500ks from when I sold it !
