EJ25 conversion progress

Post by L-Raiser » Fri Aug 15, 2008 6:14 pm

YAY....finally some progess on my EJ25 conversion!! Has only taken 7 months! My mechanic finally extracted his digit and got some work done. He's sprayed my engine bay, installed my 2" lift kit, rebuilt my steering rack using the doner Forester power steer, installed my 5 stud disc brakes and my EJ eng & box. Next comes the fun part....the wiring....ooOOOOooo :o

Here are some pics...

Regards

Nice, the engine bay looks great.
Looks like you are now going to be using the 5spd dual range gearbox that comes with the EJ25 hey? I can see a Hydraulic clutch master cylinder conversion has been done.
Keep us posted!

Thanks guys.....for the comments. :)

Yeah, I am soooo relieved work is finally being done, words cant express my relief....it was doing my head in bigtime, all the delays and excuses...

I knew this guy had good hands and good knowledge, which is why Ive tried to stick with him. Even though, I had to threaten him a few times to give the job to another (unknown) to get the job finished before he got the hint.

Yeah Andrew, I always intended to keep the EJ AWD box....my EA box was rather tired, plus I love the idea of having AWD. Everytime I jump into a FWD or RWD car they feel sooooo unsettled and skittish, especially in the wet. Though I will definately miss the LOW low range of the EA box. :)
