My Liberty 3.0R-B

Post by elljay » Wed Oct 14, 2009 8:10 pm

Hi all, I've just found this forum so thought I'd join in =)

I bought my Liberty about 3 months ago and am very happy with it!

It's a 2006 Liberty 3.0R-B. Leather interior, SatNav, 6 speed STI box, the only thing its missing is a turbo, but the 3lt 6 cylinder motor makes up for that.

I love this model.

We were torn between one of these and the Forester XT when we purchased in '06.

The Foz won out as it fitted our lifestyle better, and the Lib was a bit more expensive.

I test drove one, as well as a Lib GT, WRX and the XT Foz all on the same day at Subaru Dockside in Melbourne in late '05 and fell in love with the 3.0R spec B. Best to drive by far, IMO.

I looked around for a second hand one recently, but couldn't find one in my price range for a second car. Ended up with the '01 325i e46 BMW instead.
Willie.

Ha ha, I'll be keeping the wheels for a while, at least until I get enough spare coin to buy some 19" or 20" mags.

Anyone in here that has put an exhaust on a 3lt liberty? Interested in knowing how much and what to get.

you may also be interested in having a look at http://www.rslibertyclub.org - generally biased towards turbo 4's but there is a wealth of knowledge on all things liberty on there.

Ozliberty.com is probably your best source for EZ30R information.

I there was a guy who built a complete custom exhaust for the EZ30R and with a tune got close to 200kw

MMM... Ive been keeping an eye out for a 3L outback but my plan is to super charge it though as itd be more usable for me than a turbo,
87 targa brumby (Neglected),
92 targa brumby (weekend runabout),
97 Lifted Outback (Dailey drive),
05 outback safety (Too cheap to pass up),
90 model liberty (was to be scrapped instead sold to workmate)
+ others.
