one question would the grooves for O rings weaken the shaft too much?

I was rather tired (tied) when I made that suggestion last night

Well yes any machining off the shaft will make it weaker then not machined but can't see it braking unless something causes the shaft to not turn (seized bush or the like). I'd look for a good secondhand one, try and phone anyone that rebuilds Holleys/carbies and see if they have any shafts or something? Just thinking out loud :cool:

well it could be official that next weekend (15th may onwards) Frank will be in the car and making PJ a real freak of mechanical engineering (WTF) heres hoping

a smaller alternator belt :) so I don't have a functional non used powersteering pump (whaaaat?)

I did price some down here in lets slug the customer feight land I think it might be easier to get one in perth

yep 610 mm but it looked way too small 4pk610 by dayco 26.50

the belt gfor just the laternator is tiny! it looks smaller then it is.

i got one on my buggy as i said last night paul i dont mind donating it to the cause, but getting to the buggy somebody would have to drive me over there.
