I can send you pics of the difference.. Subaru coolant is higher grade than the stuff you call normal high end.

Don't get me wrong, I use Techoloy Gold in many cars but after seeing first hand the differences in the water jackets of many Subaru engines. I'm sticking to Subaru Coolant for my car. The Subaru Coolant is highest grade I've found around. I give my customers the option of either but IMO nothing comes close to it.

Most aftermaket ones recommend changing a lot earlier than the 100,000kms that Subaru put on thiers. I personally change mine earlier but thats because I flush out radiators every few years.

This is just my opinion and it come from owning and working on Subaru's from 1987

You get it from subaru and its about $50 a 5L bottle, maybe more can't remember. I had to use two because of my twin core:(
You can also buy smaller 1 or 1.5L bottles:)

If your going that way i can get some for you, I get trade price now from the parts man there:p
Some might get them even cheaper.... anyone??

And i wouldn't say that it HAS to only be used in subarus?? (correct if wrong)

Looks like I'm going to get 2 bottles cause it's about 5.9 litres in the ej22 cooling system

Pretty sure it's just standard auto tranny fluid, that's what I use in mine.

Provided it's rated over 90 you can use anything in a Subi though the factory stuff is good, Tectalloy is fine.

Normal ATF fluid will do fine in your powersteering Dann. I use Dextron III only because that's the one the Subaru's use in thier autos.

I've used the anti boil, anti freeze this season by tectalloy, goes well so far, no freezing and no boiling between the snow and the sand :D

I nicked some of dad's auto fluid and used that. Going well so far, but I now have to replace some seals as it's leaking a little bit :( Probably due to old age...

Yeah i'm so happy with them, but the thing I realized driving home, was that because I've got civic springs in the back it tilts the whole car down, and the light look like they or high beam already, so when I lift the front up they going to be in peoples eyes, I'm pretty sure you can adjust them though can't you??

yeah you can. That long screw thing i think on the back of the headlight. Park the car facing a wall with so distance at night and play with it keeping in mind the further away the lower its gonna be:)

I've got to do the same. I was at the lights and some guys the was at the opposite stop light and got pissed at me thinking my low beam were actually high beams. So he put his on high for a few seconds. I didn't do anything so he decided to start flashing from low to high at me. So i flashed once with my 4 high beams. Needless to say he stopped flashing because i think he went partially blind for a few seconds lol, so i turned the low beams down to park lights until the green light went on and we went our separate ways:)

Ouupssss:p
