Should be good for spare parts ?

Cheers, Bantum ...
would've been better in the gumtree thread :) ???
El_Freddo wrote:^ 4wd? Rear LSD???

If it's a manul 4wd check to see if it's actually an AWD with the locking centre diff - I'm still mad keen for another one of these boxes!

Rear discs also come to mind. But I'm guessing it's only a 2wd model other wise you'd have a pile of bits in your shed from this right about now...

Cheers

Bennie
Definitely a 2WD it has nubs where the rear castelated nuts should be :(

mind you a set of 2WD rear discs sold for 400+ dollars on Ebay not too long ago...

the image is there...just look ;) wiper parks on RHS, not LHS as some of the first of the first series wipers parked on LHS bottom of windscreen - in both LHD and RHD markets

TOONGA wrote:Bennie yes it is in the auto loom, the advantage is you get power mode and economy mode which are 2 different map settings for the injectors (from a Subarino thread somewhere on the board)
I know I'm a few months late, but no, it has nothing to do with the ECU or injectors. The economy switch only does as Bennie said below (sort-of), it makes the shift points lower. Power mode makes them higher.
El_Freddo wrote:So is this system usable with a manual gearbox?

I would have thought that this power switch would have told the TCU to hold the gear for longer in the auto box. It'd be interesting to know if it could be used with a manual, not that you really need any more in an EJ22'd L series/vortex!
It only applies to the 4 speed auto because the 3 speed auto isn't electronic and the manual gearbox is shifted by the driver

New front struts with standard springs and 2 inch strut lifts, the rear got the shock spacer.

A big thanks to RSR555 and CO for all the help.

Jahan still wants to go for a ride in that go kart... which is awesome by the way :)

Now I just need to get the bash plate sorted and Jet car is ready for business

Not a problem Jules. Just can't believe how hard it was to get those ball joints back in

Yeah.. how much fun was that $150 go-kart :p We need to find a better place to take it for a run. Last night as we left the workshop, we were followed by a paddy wagon

yep it sure does, as it was taken off a forester and bolted up as is :) eventually it will be put where it is meant to live.

P.S. you should've seen the original exhaust or should I say rust and carbon.

struts go in ok?

the look like they suit a vortex better than a 4wd l-series!

Alex the struts went in a treat and have made jetcar way better to drive (thanks for holding onto them and the great price as well) the steering is lighter, the ride is way smoother and there is no bottoming out when I hit a bump or pothole on the road.

The biggest problem was getting the balljoints back into the knuckles, once we got that sorted everything else fell backinto place.

I may even put the 215/65/14s that are on the brumby on the vortex :)

It needs more lift

Can't wait to see how it goes offroad - should be a head turner at the very least!

We have been discussing a 3 inch strut top for the front :)

the rear doesn't need any more (really it doesn't)

I was thinking something like a 3 inch body lift and 5 inch strut top (if you're going to go the strut top route)

That might attract some paddy wagon attention!

Cheers
