well the car is going great but for one nagging problem dun dun dunnadundahhhhhhh...

code 24 = Air Control Valve or Circuit

I took the valve off and cleaned it, cleared the ECU and things were great for about 20 minutes now it is constantly throwing a 24 wobbly.

Sighs ... me needs to find another Air Control Valve and try that

Dang so did you get an ultimatum from wifey and I suppose all the parts went as well :(

as I have got my left electic window working from the passenger switch (rebuilding ancient technology is not fun) but the switch in the drivers door is for show only

KPM Care to mail me a air control valve? as I won't be in Perth for quite some time now :(

Ah the joys of motoring ... I got a hold of a working idle air control valve and solved that problem. So I went for a drive and while I was out and about I decided to test the diff lock on a limestone track.

It worked beautifully the light came on on the dash I could hear the actuator work, there was a difference in traction and I was really pleased... after a while and a bit of fun I went to turn it off, the light stayed on but the switch was in off mode. hmmmmm me thinks, I pull over and check the vacuum line to the body mounted valve setup before the actuator, all lines in tact.

then I check the lines to the actuator itself, some how one has come off, and of course it is the one that is under the starter motor and my gorilla hands won't get in there. one starter motor and off later the diff lock is working a treat.

Yeah I have the same workbench as well, I call it the hobbleton model.

I saw a very impressive workbench the last time I was in Perth but sadly the owner (he had 2 mind you) wouldn't part with either of them.

I do think though that given the right materials one could be made rather easily.

They are getting pretty popular these benches. cheap as concrete :)

Yeah Jules.. I'll be hitting up Nigel about that bench when I get home.. he'll cave in.
