My Brumby - Canberra

Post by theconcierge » Wed Oct 26, 2011 3:54 pm

Hey all

Thought I would post up a couple of photos of my brumby. I bought it about six months ago from a member on these forums. It's in super condition, it was one of the only brumbys I looked at that didn't have any rust to speak of (not even in the tray!)

Since I bought it I took the canopy off ( sold to another Canberra forum member ) and added some 14inch wheels.

I am in two minds if I should add some new seats and steering wheel. Originally I wanted to add some seats from a 99 WRX ( I believe these are the easiest to fit out of all of the WRX seats, just some extra holes). I will only do it, if I can return it back to stock if I ever sell the car.

The brumby was purchased to help me do up my garden, trips to the tip and to fetch loads of soil and plants. It does get well looked after, a nice garage at night, a trickle charger for it's new battery and I am doing regular oil changes. I really only use the brumby on the weekends ( WRX for my daily driver ) but I can't get over how much I enjoy the drive.

Such a great little ute, I don't think I could ever part with it

Looks very tidy and they do grow on ya.
This week I have blasted and 2paked the welback and done the same to the sunrasia rims.
Mine has a long way to go before it looks anywhere near as neat as yours but I'll get there.

For the love of Brumby.

Hyltons fluffy mate is missing, so are his horsey stickers! is his trick custom toolbox still in the back behind the seats ? So, no garden lights in the ute. Exact same reason I bought mine 13 years ago ....

Custom toolbox is still there - another reason I am not sure about the WRX seats, not sure if the seats will fit with the toolboxes back there.

Yeah mate nice looking brumby!

Look after it carrying all those loads - if you're not careful she'll start to rust out in the usual spots of the tray.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers

Oh yeah, I really look after her after I carry soil etc. I don't leave anything in the tray, and I make sure I sweep and dry the tray after every use ( to my wife's amusement ).

I will load up some photos of the behind the seat storage that Hlyton built soon

Had a change in jobs so there is a slight chance I may sell the brumby.

I love this ute, and probably won't part with it but if someone was looking for a rust free, super straight, neat brumby I may sell it for the right price.

Not putting it on carsales or anything - but if you know anyone who would be interested you can PM me
