This is the guy i got mine from, I saw an earlier model L series lip, and some other smaller subaru (Justy?) one. He's a friendly dude though, and is happy to have you take your car there and trial fit them.

Sweet, thanks for checking those out! I'll have to do a bit of research first, i don't really feel like blowing up my daily at the moment. I may hit you up once i've had a chance to do a bit of reading though!

Had a bit of a haul today too, some stuff that i needed, some stuff that i didn't...

Image

-Roof racks
-Steering wheel
-Grill
-Starter motor
-A bunch of NOS radiator hoses
-Bunch of trim pieces
-Tail light
-Cargo cover

Pretty lucky wrecker run! Was wierd opening up the secret compartment under the boot floor and seeing it filled with new Subaru rad hoses hahaha - score! (if anyone needs some for their L let me know!)

Image

Installed the cargo cover first... Pretty rad!

New tail light to replace my smashed one:

Image

How it would look with the roof racks installed (friggen sick!)

Image

Except i didn't realise that the L that i took the racks off of was a 'sports wagon' and not a 'touring wagon' which means they don't fit:

Image

:mad::mad::mad:

So spewin! Does anyone know of anyone selling racks that'll clear the 'touring' roof? And does anyone want a set of racks for their L series? Hahah I've got a set (and will let them go for cheap!)

Nearly picked up a clean white fender today (mine has a ding), nearly had it off, but the dickhead previous owners had welded the fender to the panel that sits under the bumper! What the hell! :(

Picked up a BG shifter though... Will look at getting the 'sport mode' working this arv.

If you've peeled the rubber strip back about 10mm either end you'll see a screw that secures the fibreplastic ends of the racks in place. You need a big rubber mallet to knock 'em out. Maybe you only need someone to sell you the ends - easier to post. I scored a set for nix, not know what they fit. I know what they don't fit :( not the L, crude on the Brumby

Bit of a failure today. Pulled the starter to change it over to the one i got from the wrecker a week ago, only to find it was the wrong one. It's not visible without taking the topmount intercooler off, and that's a giant PITA so i thought i would risk it, haha. FAIL.

One that i have:
Image

One from the wrecker:...Thought i'd try and make it fit anyway hahaha.

Image

What's even more annoying is that i was going to just try and rebuild the starter solenoid, but it appears to be some kind of press-fit whereas the other one i have just unbolts to reveal the brushes and contacts. Fuuuu.

After some research i found out that the starter i got from the wreckers is from a BG Liberty, while the transmission in my L is from a 98-03 BH Liberty/Legacy.

I cleaned up the contacts that were exposed and WD40d the connections, and it seems to be working great so far... Still on the to do list though i guess~~~

Just my dated Canon 400D with kit lenses. That photo was with the 70-300mm lens and a tripod. It's definitely time to upgrade, i took a few pics with my mates camera (the one used in the latest pics i just posted) He uses a 5D, such an amazing camera... You can really tell the differences instantly.
