Except they're not wholly accurate
He has a "Full Time AWD RX" set, but the factory one was "Full Time 4wd Turbo RX"
And a "Full time AWD RX/II" set, but again should be "4WD"

Subaru didn't start using AWD until the Gen 2 Liberty. Even the first Liberty's were "Constant 4wd"

I'm trying to go as authentic as I can.
Although I've fitted the checked RX interior into a series 2 wagon, and I want to fit the Gen 1 Lib RS turbo WAIC system (for some reliability).

Really want to have "full time 4wd Turbo RX" stickers
But I'll make the "4wd turbo RX" stickers along the way (easy with CAD)

Actually, if you look closely at what's on the side of L series subarus it's 4wd - but it looks quite like Awd - there's a little triangle cut out of the RHS of the lower bar in the 4 to make it look like a 4 rather than an A:

I know he's got them listed as full time AWD, but it is actually full time 4wd - why would you have full time all wheel drive as a sticker?? Doesn't make sense!

These stickers AFAIK have been reproduced from factory originals

But if you want to make them up in CAD just to be sure, go for it!

Yes, but you can see on the top "4WD" sticker, thatr the horizontal part of the "4" is higher than the bottom.
This is how it is from factory

I can see where you're coming from. Maybe contact him for a custom product? I'm sure it'd be easy to modify the AWD one I've got in the pic in the pervious post to fit what you're after.

I should set my own little side business

Already reproduced the L stickers :"touring wagon" for the side of the roof, some sticker (MPFI 1.8 4WD) for the tailgate (which I'm sure wouldn't be hard to modify for a sedan),
and the instrument cluster which can be customised (240km/h vortex or 200km/h L, turbo light, 7000rpm for EJ20T engine, oil/volt gauge)

Righto people, time for an update (pictures to come later).

About a week ago I was cruising down my street at a about 80 when my bonnet catch let go and the hood slapped up against my hood, then my roof racks.

After VERY carefully slowing and pulling over, I got out and slammed the door.
< insert about 40 expletives here>
I stood up on the bulbar and kicked the shit out of the inside of the bonnet to bend it back into a bit of a useable shape and slowly cruised back home.

Replaced the bonnet with the blue one from the wrecked Leone and swapped the boot over at the same time so they match.

Pretty sure it was due to an oversight on my part, I was working on my sister's bucket'o'shit Mazda at the time and must have forgotten to slam the bonnet down :'(

Anyway, some good news is that I got a rod rack/holder for christmas from my sister and fit that up with a rod and it's pretty schmick

catches an insane amount of glare from the headlights though so I may have to spray it black sometime soon.

As well as this, I now have the thermofans fixed and switched up. Red light up toggle switch running off ignition power so its completely controlled by me now

Oh also, Steve (Wagonist) has traced the decals on the side so new sticker templates soon

Will take pictures and get back to everyone who's inquired about parts soon. It's been a very busy few months outside of working on the car.

PS. I got a spare tyre for her now too. Just the regular Nankang 27", on a sunraysia 14" steelie. I prefer the look of it to the star pattern wheels I have at the moment so I might have to get them all moved onto the steel wheels.

Good times. Same thing happened to my sister just as she hit 100km/h on our road after leaving home.

She limped home for dad to flex the bonnet back the other way. It drove around with that bonnet for quite some time with the huge crease through the centre of it. She was lucky it didn't smash the windscreen! Gave her a proper fright though!

Wow.. you were very lucky to get away with that. I don't understand how this happens though.. I understand that if the bonnet isn't locked down correctly, the bonnet will pop up but how can it go passed the safety catch? these usually have a very hefty spring on them that requires some force to lift the lever?

Although I can understand the colourful words that would have been said

I was fuming. But pretty happy that it didn't smash the windscreen, considering it's only about 1000km old.

The old bonnet (after my roadside "repair" and being thrown across the yard in anger)

The bonnet and boot off Leonie, plus the new rod holder.

The spare and the fan switch, it lights up when it's on! I have blue and green ones for when I whack spotties and a light bar on it as well.

Oh, also an update on the surging issue.

I've replaced the spark plugs and leads with Iridium plugs and high quality leads, didn't help. flushed the fuel filter, didn't work. Bored holes in the fuel cap, didn't work. So now I'm going to check all my sensors and the fuel pump and if that doesn't work, the fuel tank will be flushed/swapped for the tank in Leonie.

I'm avoiding this shit because I know it's going to be a big job.

Any advice on the easiest way to remove a fuel tank out of an '86 RX Turbo would be greatly appreciated.

Is the Leone a carby model? If so, the fuel tank is different to the RX.
You'll need an EFI tank. It's got a bigger outlet for the fuel & an internal swirl pot.

If you can wait til the end of March, I could bring you one from a Vortex, but I'll need to see if they are the same fitment as the Leone.

With the lift kit, its a lot easier to remove the tank.
Get a jack under the diff, unbolt the moustache bar from the chassis, lower the jack.

Just remembered, I had a fuel issue on my touring wagon with a turbo halfcut transplant 15 years ago.
There's an issue with the circuit where the fuel pump earths back through the ECU.
The solution is to earth the fuel pump directly to the body instead.
Really cheap fix, I'd suggest doing that first.

The Leone is a carby yeah, didn't think of the fuel outs from the tank :/ Bugger. If the earth doesn't fix it, then I'll let you know and I might need that vortex tank.

although, you've got an EJ22, not an EA82T, so you've got a different ECU.
Check which fuel pump is being used. If it's the stock EA EFI pump, then there should be a strainer in the inlet of the pump.
If it's not the factory pump, check there's a filter in the line between the tank & the pump.
The most common replacement pumps are the VL Commodore & EFI XF Falcon. Both of these had the strainer in the tank.

Also, it could just be a worn out pump. If it's been let run dry, that'll damage it.
