Hi All,

I thought I would share a couple of pictures with you of my new Turbo Diesel Forester...

In the near future I would also like to install:

- a nudge bar
- a tow bar
- LED lights on nudge bar
- xenon fog lights
- a small lift

The Husband keeps telling me that I am not getting a lift in it but I am sure once we start going off-road in it he will be quickly convinced

Love the personalised number plates! Very appropriate!

Cheers

Thanks :D I couldn't believe that the combination was still available - I've only had them a couple of weeks :)

Very nice

How do you find the diesel? It seems Subaru may have fixed the earlier probs they had...

A small lift plus a sump guard ;)

The diesel has been great so far, we are only half way through our second tank :) It's a bit sluggish down in the lower revs but once you get her in the 2.5 rev range and the turbo kicks in there's no stopping her

Another reason we went for the diesel over the petrol was because I really wanted the premium model but also wanted a manual gearbox. The turbo petrol premium models all seemed to be automatics or CVTs :(

We haven't gone offroad properly yet, just a dirt road (which was very compacted) on our way home from picking her up. I am really looking foward to getting her out in some mud

What kind of run-in specs do the diesels demand?

Nice ride...

Yes, I think she's wanting some mud on her tyres

The break-in period for the Diesels is 1,600kms, ours is an ex Subaru executives car and has 10,000kms on the clock so it's already through the break-in time :) I have read though that it takes around 15,000kms for the fuel economy side of things to level itself out...

We took her for a trip through the 14 River Crossings track yesterday out at Killarney and she did really well (I still think a small lift would be of great benefit  ) She even got a little mud on her :)

The Husband agrees that a bash plate would be beneficial :)

We also opened her up a little on a straight bit of road - not the smoothest of surfaces being a back road out in the sticks but it still had good visibility and got her up to 170km/h and had only just changed to 6th gear so she still a fair bit to go!
