after teh pump primes what is the trigger to turn it on full time? ( crank angle sensor or the like?)
My guess would be starter motor running - but that's just a guess.

After starting, I suppose it would be crank angle sensor activity.

must be CAS. starter doesnt do it. I need to put the torque converter back in so I can get it started anyway.

still a lot of work to do on it. I put a later model high mount stop light in it last night and took out the hella item that fell off the rear window.

been doing other things and haven't really had time to work on it (XMAS rush has hit and I'm busy as!)

not really. I'm self employed and when the work is there I take more than I can handle. expected time would be march/april I figure.

spent today doing a few things on it . worked out the A/C gas lines and relocated the dryer/HP switch to where the overflow bottle was. put simply there is a LOT of custom piping and a bit of cut'n'shut with the hoses and it all looks semi factory. the inside of the car is L series the lines are a mix of the two, the dryer is legacy and the evap core is L series

the electrics I need to do a bit of fiddling with as well (which is later once I get the car running.) to get the old climate control system to work with the new stuff.

lines go to a local place in geebung on monday to be done properly.

also test fitted the exhaust for clearance issues. glad I did the brake swap as the passenger side exhaust/cat fouls on the brackets that held the handbrake cable. drivers side isnt that much better. I chopped both of them off flush so is clear now. apart from that its almost like subaru intended to chuck a TT in one of these shells.

sorted the REAR abs wiring out as well. found a local heritage wagon that had the same system in it locally (in hemmant) so I took what I needed from it.

front shafts are out again as I'm going to get them redone. basically L shafts-> hubs and legacy from there.

still need to sort the rear tailshaft out. looking for an auto 4wd one currently to see if it drops in or not.

got a bit done as you can probably tell.

(I'm dreading pullling the box out of this thing to put the TConv back in!!)

jono,
do you still have that L 4eat box? need the shift cable off it (OR the bracket that mounts it to the shifter.)

true, though a lot of this is boring fiddly stuff. I'll take a few more snaps of it over the next few days.

ok we have a crossmember now. for those that aren't aware the floor pan changes from the 85-87 ones (narrow) to the 87-94 version (wide.)

I nabbed a later crossmember and that bolted in easily. drilled two holes in it for the 4eat box mounts that are ENTIRELY destroyed. now I just need to find the correct ones.

also fixed the front lighting as the car does not have the original front lights or the original marker lights. I nabbed the whole lot from the later sedan that was there.

now for some more fiddling..

now we have A/C. (well the new pipes are made anyway..) $330 later.

pipes are a mix of the two cars and I did a bit of rearranging as well so that didn't help the cost.
