New Ride -- WA

At last, I found a replacement for my old '81 wagon with a rusted out chassis:D
Picked up a Brumby at the weekend:
'91 just under 140,000 on the clock - near new 14" sunnies.
Thought it had a blown head gasket, had to put in on a trailer in the end as it was pissing water out the exhaust as quick as I could fill up the radiator. Talk about an easy tow in the RS (that is after we found the park brake on the trailer

)
Got it home, pulled off the manifold to find it was those pesky inlet gaskets that had blown, some new oil and plugs, she is running soo smooth!!
All she needs is a lift and the LSD from my wagon and then find where the tarmac (bitumen) ends....
[edit]Also needs a new windscreen - anyone know a rough cost for a new one in WA?

I nearly gave up looking after seeing nothing in the Quokka or on-line for about six weeks. Couldn't have hoped for a better brumby or price.
I was thinking of doing an EJ conversion straight away, but now I've got the motor running so smooth, I think I'll wait a while and rather get some use out of it straight away.
Seagull-where's your place? you must have also spotted the vortex for sale round the corner? tow rate is 850 (I thought) - not exceeded by too much

HA the trailer alone weighs 800kg, standard hire jobby
must say though, towing it empty with the MY to return it it was barely noticable to stop, even an empty 200kg box trailer was noticed with my MY.
And congrats on the purchase, sounds like theres some serious fun planned for it.

I like those brumby's (white with the green paint work). There's one up here at uni that looks exactly the same, pristine condition too. Hope you have fun in it and look after it (we all know you'll look after it AND let it have some fun!)

Is that a lift kit... looks very very weird looking... there are a few new bits there i can see which usually aint with a lift kit... looks VERY VERY cool. Please PM me with some details on it. Don't mention it in here unless it is a BYB kit... which im sure it probably isn't.

Legalities honestly depend on the individual police officer. Jonno got stickerd for his 2 inch lift kit... they called it a suspension modification. Perhaps if he had some sort of certificate things may have been different.

on second thoughts, I might not bring it on Saturday in case it gets knocked off at the bbq!
OR we can see how easy it is to install before we head off, I'm sure Jaffa won't mind waiting around for a few minutes - should be as quick as slotting in a rear d/s :lol
