My Brumby 9 Months after total restoration.

My ute was completely stripped to a shell, (ok, l left the fuel tank in), then stripped down to bare metal, any dents were repaired and all rust removed and replaced with new metal. three thick coats of Spartain Acrylic Primer was followed by three coats of Spartain Acrylic White. Window Rubbers and seals were all replaced with NOS. replacements as was the Screen & Rubber, No leaks now, none! Door Locks were replaced with security locks and the petrol tank got a locking cap.

The Interior got a makeover also, new Dash, Matts, Rear Console and Seats were fitted. lt runs a seperate water temp and boost guage, is fitted with a turbo timer and when l can find a Tacho the size l want, one of them too.

Under the Bonnet is fitted a low mileage EA-81T, this motor had been in storage for a very long time and belonged to the aircraft guys. The Turbo fitted is a rebuilt EA-82 water cooled unit, the gearbox remained standard, 4 speed dual range, (l have a RX 5 speed to go in but no time), the clutch kit is new. To cool the Turbo, an RS Liberty Waic System and fuel delivery is, standard pump feeding a 1 litre surge tank, fuel is the delivered to the Engine by a Bosch 070 high volume pump. The Exhaust starts with a custom 2 1/2" Dump, fitted to this is a high flow Diesel Cat. A 2 1/2" pipe then runs straight back to a 3" perf tube sports muffler. Controlling what goes on is a Link Engine Management System.

Suspension got the full Noelathane treatment, Struts and rear Shocks are KYB, Springs are standard spec Kings, all Joints and Bearings were replaced and the rear end got Vortex Rear Discs.

that's beautiful! I love the intercooler you've got ... was it hard to connect up? did you need to mod it at all ?

what headers do you have? stock? or custom made?

got any HP figures from it ?

Thanks Stinky, your example is the one we all aspire too, yep the intercooler really is a piece of work, l'm told it's from a late model RS and holds more water than the black type. Fitting was easy, (sorry l'm an engineer, l do this sort of sh.t often), the only tricky part was positioning the reservoir as it sort of 'hangs in space' and when full is very heavy. l have written a tech article on what l did that should appear soon, well it's been sent anyway, that should clear up any fitting issues, l have included nearly 20 detailed photo's and am always happy to answer questions if need be.
The Turbo Up pipe is standard, it won't remain this way, l too am eyeing off TWE headers but will probably settle for a custom set in the near future.
Won't give any HP figures just yet, it's due for a retune as l'm still extracting power from it but last time it was dyno'd it settled at just over 100Hp, l think, (read, sure), it may have bred a few more ponies by now so will post up the Dyno results when it's retuned. Needless to say, it hauls arse.

Hi all, have had a couple of inquiries recently regarding this ute, no l did not sell it, did not need too, really just wanted it driven and a firm price is what it sounds like, firm.
Up on blocks atm, stored and awaiting my return in a month or two, cant wait to hear her fire up and squirt it down the road. thanks for all the positive comments on her, she is special.

Pete.
