Well bought this last week. Been good, few little teathing problems, had issues after degreasing the engine, wouldnt start jus wet coil. Was also running rough, pod filter pipe loose.

Got windscreen guy out today, took old screen out, lotsa rust around frame, going to clean it up, rust convertor + bog + primer should see a windscreen in later in the week.

Still need to work out why there is not horn working in the car.

Aside from that should be good for a road worthy by end of the week.

Future plans include cutting out all the surface rust from around the rear guards, inside the boot and various other small areas. 2 extra bonnet vents. Then a respray in white again.

Will be trying to find some bling bling flares from something like a Sprinter to cover the wheels a bit better also.

Will post more pics etc as I go.

Haha yeah thats me, nah not any more, the big red one got pulled off the road by DOT after being in 4wdmonthly a couple of years back. Got another one though, jus a tourer that gets pushed a little to hard.

This little RX is for the wife to commute in as she is getting sick of driving the HK Prem even though she loves the 350 chev in it.

Ok, The Jeep was a continual build project for about 4 years, I competed in it in Qld Shortcourse Champs which no longer exist and some expo stuff at LCMP. The vehicle was featured in 4wdMonthly well before they used to hide number plates. Anyways after it appeared got letter from DOT saying they would like to see it at Pineapple st.

Being a honest fellow, I took it, but before I took it put smaller wheels on her, destickered it etc etc so it didnt look quite so wild.

Anyways get there, and ended up getting 3 pages of defects. Some were normal things like ....

- Handbrake not holding rear wheels enough, front left wheel bearing needing replacing, couple of oil leaks but nothing major.

Then they stung me on the fab work etc. As I run Ausjeep I imported a Longarm kit from Claytons for the front, which replaces the cross member and upper and lower arms, absolute bomb system, anyways nick me on.....

- Long Arms
- Extended rear shackles
- no rear seats
- no blue slip for 8 pt cage
- coil spacers
- leaf blocks
- missing quarter window

**** there was heaps more but forgot, anyways they made me get it tilt trayed home. Once home put her up on blocks, made some phone calls and had everything sold on her within 2 hrs and then stripped it.

Couple more pics

Was a prototype from a mob in Melb, luckily I kept it and used in on my current rig, is the only carrier in existance as mob went bust.

I'd love to see a modified off-roader jointly built by BYB and Ausjeep. It'd be an interesting fusion of Subaru and Jeep parts.

;)
