clicky's stocko l-series

Post by theclick » Wed Mar 14, 2007 4:51 pm

Hey all,

New to these forums and Ea82s to be honest.

Bought this car for a whole lot of not much about 3 months ago, its going alright atm.....

Currently:

Stock pretty much everything cept stereo.

kenwood head-deck
front 6" splits,
500watt 4 channel bridged to 2 channel amp running precariously (dont bugger the wiring) into a 10in kicker dual voice coil woofer

thats pretty much it.

I'm looking for suggestions for improvements. I'm not too interested in lifting due to the standard problems that come with it. Some new wheels would be great (looking to go out on a limb and try some rats.... lol). Gotta fix up a few dents and scratches and do something about the front bumper which has been pushed back a little by the roo bar after what i assume to be a hit of some large mammal.

she's got 220 on the clock, great interior (few little bits like rubber coming off window lining on drivers side door), and is in need of a little loving care.

I'm a brissi boy.

As for the caps, they are a short term replacement as the guy who previously owned the vehicle had sprayed the wheels a deep blue colour and not evenly. Buy i will be throwing them off a cliff ASAP.

Cheers for the welcome everyone

Mate, one very clean looking L you've got there. I give you under 2 years before you lift it... especially being in brissie, i've heard the boys up there enjoy a lot of 4wding... they'll show you the ropes i'm sure. Have fun ;)

Just sprayed up the stock wheels with a silver though Im not sure that it looks all that much better to be honest. In my constant state of uncoordination, i managed to spill thinners on one of them after i had sprayed it.

Spose it looks better to the plebeian but ehh.

Fixed up some trim too, also recently replaced a rubber boot in the steering, bent that bullbar back into shape and installed ma stereo.

now i have to work on cleaning some of the dents on the side up, retouching some cracking paint and get the thing rustproofed.
