Hi All,

My wagon turned 300,000 kms the other day so I thought I'd celebrate with a wash and take some pics.

Image

So far it's an 88 GL Touring Wagon 1.8 NA. rescued from the scrap heap. Has Power Steering, Power windows, Power Locks.

Image

Fitted new tailgate, driveshafts and cv's all round, wheel bearings all round, new discs & pads, Engine has good compression in all cylinders, I've upgraded coil to MSD Blaster2, Reconditioned carbie, Suspension is all Monroe Gas Stuff with King Springs. Fitted 3" turbo, free-flow muffler. Custom Front Grille & Colour Coded Mirrors.

Image

Pioneer MP3 CD player with 5.5 inch speakers in front & 6 inch in rear, 50 Channel UHF (TX3400), Blue Tooth Hands Free, Sporty Steering Wheel & Gear knob, Blue EL Wire in dash, Neons under dash, Immobiliser, Sheepskin seatcovers cos it's bloody cold in the Snowy Mountains in winter, 6 x 14 inch Rats, 185/65 x 14 Kumho's, Handles great and goes better than any others I've driven!

Image

And that's fake bullet hole stickers along the sides... had to make it look different to all the other white wagons around these parts...

Have plans for EJ when engine fades... until then I still love it!

Nice indeed - where did you get the "Subaru Boxer" sticker on the back from?

Hi Fang & 4Muff - Thanks for the feedback - I reckon she looks OK! Fang - I downloaded the eps file from Subaru America and had a mate print it on his sticker printer - same with the windscreen logo. Check out the site for yourself - there's some really trick logo's in there...

Subaru - it just gets better!

nice tourer. Do you get any scrubbing with the 14" rats? I'm looking at getting some wheels but not interested in lift kit.

Hi Timmo - Nope no worries with scrubbing - plenty of clearance with 185/65 profile - it used to have 195/70 and they scrubbed going over bumps and at full lock so they were tossed!

My tourer should hit the big 300 this year as well, although mine looks as though she has had more of a pounding then yours has (evil laugh).

Nice job and congrats on the mile stone and i hope she does another 300 eh... its an L of course she will ;-)
