Now that the race ute has been converted to 5 stud with the Crossbred kit, I have a spare set of Superlite 4 stud rims. Not wanting to leave them laying around, I thought I'd throw them under my old silver ute. Bolted in the left over MY suspension while I was at it.
Looks good too. Pay no attention to the bullbar, it was already on the ute when I got it and it appears I've got chridk's lined up for it now.

Haven't driven it yet. Got some problems with timing and carby so I'm putting a carby kit through it and see what happens. Gearing is going to be horrendous. It will be like driving with std tyres and a 3:1 diff ratio!

Dunno yet. EJ25 SOHC with 4.444 dual range would be nice but working on the racecar comes first. I've just wanted to do this for some time and I'm still mucking around with the strut towers and lower arms on the raceute.
I do have a spare EG33 gathering dust here somewhere...

I can see this turning into a pre-runner....so it would have to be an EJ20T

They're only 26"s and the 16" rims for the 30" Bridgestone rally tyres can't be too far away.
Been driving it around for about a week now. Nowhere near as unstable as I thought it was going to be. Just leave it in lowrange all the time. So easy to get in and out of too, don't have to bend down at all. I was worried about the lack of aircon but with the sunroof open it's not that bad.

Actually been driving the Triton as well. No aircon in it either though. I'm surprised where it will go in stock form.
