Hatchie's 15 minutes...

Post by Subafury » Mon Mar 10, 2008 7:03 pm

Posting this on behalf of subarino.

i was one of a few that knew this was coming out in one of the future editions of Western 4WDriver. i randomly found it today whilst waiting at the newsagent. Dave didnt even know it was out- he was waiting for a proofread copy to be sent to him first. in my opinion they should of done that.
best to dwnload the images for best readability.

Not a bad write up. it sorta seems to read like he has done all these mods out of order- like drowned the first ej before he got 4x4 driveline then painted after etc. No mention to AUSubaru :( and another little picky thing- apparently he has a WAIC from an Impreza RS ha!

Wow that is an awesome showcase of Hatchy! The ultimate way to show her off :)
Congrats on a very positive write-up Dave. The mistakes seem pretty minor I suppose, the gist seems to be just what you were after.

That is so awesme... although it does seam to be a little out of order it is written in a more logical order. Perhaps would have saved me a few thousand dollars here and there.

Love the reference to the nick name "Hatchie"

I will have to buy a few coppies of that tomorrow.

Well I think i know how dave has paid for that new snorkel testing facility that came with a house...

Nice write up. I know (and its been said) that it isn't in cronological order in terms of the build sequence, but the sometimes stupid reporters have to swap things around to make the read interesting (I couldn't wait to finish dinner to read it - had to be dragged away from the article after starting it).

"Striaght to the pool room" with that one dave! You gotta be proud ;)

Good to see one of use getting our subi's out there in the 4wd mags.

Well done mate.

Unfortunately I couldn't find this magazine in the local newsagent thisarvo (Ellenbrook is the middle of nowhere, after all), but I might try elsewhere in town as we're going for a spin into Altronics tomorrow.

Can't wait to show the Landcruiser/Pajero drivers at work what a well-built Subaru can do!

Thats excellent to have a write up done, and well deserved Dave.
Probably now puts any urban myths to bed about your Hatchie being what it is, like the Thor Brumby, seen around but mysterious until revealed.

Had a good laugh with the comments on the other sites about your web page in another post. Is that video still around on the site or on YouTube?

I still have the videos... removed them from the net originally because other people were claiming to be the authors of it. I could be persuided to put em back up. They shouldn't be on You Tube.
