Extra info under avatar?

I cant seem to get text to go under the avatar. I type it in the "extra info" box, but it wont submit or update.

Am I doing this right?

The extra info section is only for people to read when they look at your profile it dosn't actually go under the avitar , you can put more info at the bottom of all your post by putting anything you want into your signature section .

thanks Mike, you gave me a thought about "profile" etc. I had another look at the "Location" box - now sorted.
