PM receipts confirmed or not ?? explain

Can someone explain the just noticed PM receipts in my PM box. I have 1 unconfirmed, what am I to do with the bloody thing, was it requested by sender ??

I have no idea how it works but I'm guessing it just allows the sender to see if you've received the PM and it's been read?? We should bombard Mark's inbox with PMs

already done that, and he was so proud of maximum storage capacity just yesterday
