clutch help
clutch help
I think i have done the clutch on my 2001 outback and have had some wildy differing prices on fixing it ,one guy said $1100 for clutch kit,and $4000 if it needs new double mass flywheel, plus labour,my local subaru dealer said $565 for the clutch kit didnt mention the flywheel, they gave me quote off the vin number ,another guy said if genuine part that price it must have solid flywheel any way to tell without taking gearbox out

The dual/double mass flywheel's were a nice theory but personally I think they're just a hideous PITA, when the time comes to replace the clutch in my Outback I'll be replacing the dual mass flywheel with an EJ22 flywheel I have and installing a heavy duty EJ22 clutch kit (rough figures about $300 for the kit).
