We were visiting to in-laws on sunday night at Mt Gravatt. It did not seem that bad over there so we did not rush back.
When we got home we found lots of water everywhere as some of the windows were open. There was water on top of the fridge (6m to the closest window) lucky we have timber floors so it was an easy mop up job.
There was also a tree down and a barge capping on the roof is bent up from the wind.

The little creek behind my house turned into a raging river, but thankfully our house is fairly high up.
A guy just down the road at bellbird park lost his outback and a brumby to water though, same little creek, just an unlucky position.

My mum rang me up from Canberra to see if I was ok! lol
The damage hasn't been as bad here in Norman Park, but the wagon did nearly float as the road turned in to a river when the worst of it hit.
Apparently there's still more to come! I feel for those who've lost already but it is long overdue, hopefully they'l get some down south.

We lost power for only a few hours on Sunday night, but a few girls from work that live off Oakey Flat road didn't get it back till Wednesday.
Wednesday night was an awsome sight watching the lightning. Only lost part of one tree that night.
Lowered cars are scraping coming into what use to be the drive way.
Renee is in Phuket at the moment, and Brisbane is making on to the news over there. Where stars.....

My car scrapes now coming in the driveway. You could nearly roll your car if you hit the driveway fast enough and in the wrong spot ofcourse
