paypal for dummies needed

Post by steptoe » Sun Aug 29, 2010 1:07 pm

Just after some info on paypal rather than try search their site and make sense of it.

I have a paypal facility so I can pay for things on ebay, have used it. Have also seen how a member here can create (with the wifes help:) ) an invoice so I can pay for stuff and their paypal fee (is it flat 10%?)

Main question is ....OK say I have successfully created an invoice sent it to the payer, he or she pays ... the money is then in my paypal account less their fees, how then do I get my grubby mits on that money?
Can I supply them with an EFT BSB and account number and Viola, money is in my account?

Does my account have to be linked to do online money laundering transfer

thanks Jonno

You can use a normal bank account and link it, then transfer back and forth. I used to use it linked to a normal account before I got a master card.

If you are buying things that means you have linked a bank account with PayPal. Have you confirmed that bank account with Paypal yet? That is when they send a random small amount of money (say $0.15) and you enter that amount into your account information on the paypal site. If you have not done this yet then the account is not confirmed. You do not have to confirm to pay for things, only to withdrawl money! Funny that. Once confirmed you just click on the Withdrawl menu under the My Account tab on the top of the page, then follow the instructions. There will be a list of confirmed bank account in the withdrawl process which you can select from.

Cheers,
Rhys

thanks, found this NOT in my new posts (must have come up while was still on when asked question)

yeah, when I pay for things with paypal I have it connected to my credit card. Maybe I can just get it to pay my credit card without doin' anything else or just leave it there as forced savings.

Should just get T'sunami to draw up an invoice to pay for my next export - an XT6 with a left tiller - gawd, not much room for an LPG bottle in the boot with the spare and all. A mate has 64 litre useable from a Falcon in his Mazda 121 hatchy - we'll cope
