Sparks fly on WRX

Post by yarney » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:31 pm

I was working today at Surfers Paradise when i came out of the Q1 building and i saw this.
A power pole came down on a truck and beside that was a WRX they were waiting at the red light when the pole fell, The live power lines where all over the car and truck with the people in them.
I couldn't believe it there were sparks and fireworks going off everywhere with all the lines down nobody was hurt.
The pole just fell over nothing touched it before hand.

Damn.. lucky that truck was there.

I love seeing boats getting pulled by a rex

Glad to hear no one was hurt. How did the WRX fair?

Cheers

Had one of similar moments on Monday when I (sans digital media device) a B double missed a roundabout went straight ahead over a light pole leaving it crumpled by as many wheels that went over it, his big alloy bull bar was under the trailers rear wheels ?howtf? , fuel spilling, cops arrived, ( 100m from their HQ!), ambo's there, firies on their way .... no sparks as the pole had those retracting leads on 'em :)
