1) Mr. Reliable - Aussie film based on a true story.

2) Shaw shank redemption.

I only have two favourites. Both films end in a way that just left me in a really good mood.

Edit: 3) Hot Rod. Andy Samberg is funny as shit.

Tough one for just three!

I'd have to say in no particular order:

Top Gun - classic 80's fighter jet/love story that you just cant go past! Especially when you've grown up watching it...

The castle and most other Aussie movies such as the nugget, cracker jack and bad eggs.

Fight club - do I need say more??

Others that I want to see: the exorsist, the saw series shaun of the dead and others I can't think of right now - not all gory movies ;)

Cheers

Hmmm, Blood Diamond, Silence of the lambs and Snatch off the top of my head but if you asked me in 2 weeks I'd probably give you 3 different answers like The Exorcist, Green Mile and Drop Dead Fred.............. those above I've found watchable more than a few times.

Number 1 for me has to be The Aviator; at the time I found this movie I just happened to be researching Howard Hughes and marveling at his life, then finding a movie about him made my day. Leo did it so well, the movie was pretty accurate historically, has some absolutely fantastic aviation scenes and I could name every song on the sound track

Number 2 Spirited away; can't put my finger on why but I just really love it.

Number 3 is kinda tied between a few crappy ones; The Mask, Happy Gilmore (I grew up with them and no matter how many times I watch the jokes never lose their punch hehe) or Terminator 2 judgement day (was huge when I was a little kid)

I have been told I have no taste in movies though; Didn't like Scarface, Pulp fiction, Batman the dark knight and I find most Disney Pixar movies cringe worthy.
Will it ever end!?

Ok There are so many. A few good ones listed above.

Movies i love are

1, God's must be crazy. South African Comedy movies about white men and bush people in Africa. So ****ing funny!!!! good movie god's must be crazy two isnt that good but its ok.

2, TAXI but its the French movie

3, Tooo many its harder for me to choose cause i've also got French movies to decide from :p But a third in particular but whats good is movie special effects are getting pretty cool those days, Maybe not really great movies but good effects. I do also enjoy watching documentaries on animals, nat geo and stuff, pretty interesting stuff.. Ohhhh and watch the MAN, bear grylls do his stuff..., lol crazy ****er!!!

But yeah if you don't know gods must be crazy, Its a must to download and watch..., you won't regret it. Its a early 90's movie.

could we split this into genres eg. 3 for horror, 3 for horror comedy, 3 for comedy, 3 for action, 3 for romance, 3 for kids movies etc. Hey why not TV series as well?

Yes I watch way too much television. my 3 all time favourites would be; the evil dead trilogy, up and scarface.

The Castle for me.
Remember watching it for the first time on lounge chairs in a theatre called the Piggery ? at Byron Bay in about 1997. Its gone now I think it burnt down years ago.
Who hasnt found at times the need to use the analogies of this movie.
Tell them they are dreaming, its the vibe, gotta move the Torana to move the etc, etc, Commodore, its rissoles love, Jousting sticks, how much are they asking for them.
