Thieving Pricks

Post by subiwidow » Fri Jun 30, 2006 3:44 pm

Renee has been using my car, now that she is Licenced. Took my car to work, and some bastard stole my number plate. Nothing special, just regular plates. Just one, could of made me paying for a new set worth while. Rang the cops to report it, only to find my car had been sloten in a prior life. ( before I owned it )
I am pissed off, bastards.

I think you need a security patrol on everything you own.

re stolen numberplates

Post by _curlie_ » Fri Jun 30, 2006 5:02 pm

i know how you feel as i had my number plate stolen from my subie.
it was taken when i had the xcar parked out the front of the Beaudesert Court house.

i noticed it missing and reported it that day to the police and got a new set on the same day
the next day the plate was seen on video in a ram raid
and it was on a toyota
89 L series 14"rims 27x8½" tyres, 2" lift kit,
EJ 22 motor,

Just be weary that it doesnt end up on a cloned car, saw a show on the ABC about vehicle cloning, some fella bought a landcruser out of the trading post and he only found out it was a clone when the rego renewal didnt show up.
It turned out there was 2 identical cars in the one city( the copied one had copied rego plate & compliance plates).

Dont want to scare you just want to let you know of possibilities, at least youve still got the car.

Cheers chridk

Went to get he replacement plate yesterday. Now I know why they only took one. The other one was hanging on friggin tight. Some young guy took pity on Renee with her "woe is me" look when we were struggling with the screws.

god i hope they dont take it as stolen property
I don't think they can, as I am 99% sure I got a letter to say it was unemcumbered, plus I would of heard about it when I insurred it. Just seems weird that I only hear about it now.
here comes new plates BYB
If I could of got them straight away I would of, but with only one plate, I was just serving Renee up to the police on a Green Platter.
I think you need a security patrol on everything you own.
When we insured the cars a few years back, you need to give the postcode of where the car will be housed. Our price jumped up as we were in the 10 places for stolen cars. Woo Hoo

Bummer how out of all the options you have with number plates in Qld they cant re issue the green plates when damaged or removed without permission

you can still get green plates, but you have to pay extra for them because they arent the standard issue anymore.

Stupid Beatty wanker and his smart state plates. I prefer the green and white ones with the"Sunshine state" on them.

I thought the unencumbered certificate simply means that there is no money owing on it or used as security for any finance - not that it ain't stolen

wouldn't you think that stolen would also come up on REVS ?
