Old skool ICE

Post by sven '2' » Mon Oct 28, 2013 9:30 pm

ICE = in Car Entertainment

Remember back in the day when this would have been cool?

Amp > EQ > Receiver > tape deck

The output jack bottom right was for a remote control - fancy!

I still remember Dad's 8 track in his FE holden. We thought we were hip :)

Yep, I had the Clarion compo car cassette stereo system with a separate cassette player, radio and 2 x amps.
All mounted in the centre console of the 1978 Datsun 200B SX

Any body remember them ?

As I think I still have a full set of speakers / head unit from the '76 wagon somewhere ... :shock:

Note : Sorry I can't find any pictures of it at this moment ... :(

Cheers, Bantum ...

I've got an old pioneer tape deck and amp from something dad used to drive. The amp is in the shed with a 240v lead plugged in the back of it (it's mains and 12v compatible) for the tunes via the ipod :twisted:

It's older than me and is still kicking out the tunes - even after several 18th's, 21st's, 25th's and other random parties in between while probably running speakers it's not meant to!

Cheers
