It is understandable due to the huge volume of mail, from letters, bills, packages and parcels that AP carry, somethings gotta go wrong somewhere.
Well, tracking has been introduced on all parcels within Australia at least. For the added security, you can still opt for a higher level of service and pay 2.95 for SoD (signature on delivery) which is quite clear on their website what it is, how it works etc.
I like to use it a bit like their old registered post as it may have been slower, yet went through more checks and ensured the recipient signed for the item. It also keeps things above board just in case things go awry and recipient may suspect sender playing foul - you have a number besides tracking to play with.
Well Jules and I did a swap, and to keep things as secure as possible, agreed swap would include SoD via AP.
Well, Jules & Co came home to find his hens tooth was just stashed behind a brick wall, and maybe a bit miffed that Jonno took the cheaper delivery option, asked ain't he supposed to sign for it on delivery ?
Well, certainly was paid for SoD, and had similar situations at my door where I'd asked and paid for SoD type delivery yet found parcel forged my sig !
Starting to get a bit peeved at this service delivery not being what it claims, made a complaint to AP, who claim they have a 2 day turn around on complaints. Two working days...well, ten days later I hear back, still not happy with outcome - the recipient has to lodge delivery complaint - even though the sender paid for the service, got the reciept, is the customer !!
Well, Jules did his bit and complained formally - to be told if he wanted a refund, the sender had to make the claim - which is where I started in the first place - asking how to get a refund for service not delivered.
The delivery contractor could not recall if his unusal practice of signing on behalf of the recipient took place at Casa TOONGA, as it was over a month ago !! Yeah, well, if the 2 day turnaround complaints centre wasn't so backed up .......
I've now copied WA AP reply to EA AP to ask first question - how do I get the refund !!
Ready to try the pio.gov.au ombudsman

Gogle AP complaints and results seemed WA heavy .....
just got this at 11.25 pm or so, is it that late ?
