Pick it up next Monday, in Obsidian Black of course.

Don't ask how much it was, you'll think I'm crazy.

Seriously though, I bet it hammers offroad. I've not got a leg to stand on... my Yaris has turned into something else!

I'm off to Google this G class thing now... better be worth it! ;)

Ok, no it's not the AMG version - that would be very nice but very silly.

Actually Mercedes are not importing them at the moment - this is a private import, so second hand for me. Still a bit expensive but I'm justifying that with the excellent resale value.

It's got a de-tuned version of the E320's V6, running 156 kW; AWD; centre, front and rear diff locks, all the Mercedes fruit.

It will not be lowered, if anything raised just a tad! But I won't decide for sure until I pick it up.

As for what it's replacing . . . I haven't made up my mind. Maybe the GLf will go, or maybe we'll be replacing our E-class with a C-class.

It's a 1993 w463. As a member of the Australian Mercedes community I get a lot of correspondance from other Mercedes enthusiests, I'd kind of been half looking at one of these for a while when this one came up and bang! Got it.

It's an auto, with a very very very very low first gear. If you've ever driven a Merc though you'll know that you can't actually use first gear unless you select "2" while stationary.

Canberra Star Motors are relocating as far as I know - I don't know where though, I only use MB Spares (also in Fyshwick). Canberra Star sure sell enough cars in the ACT though so I doubt they've gone out of business!
