What do you mean by 'build a rotisserie'?
I havent got a bbq to cook meat on, so I would have no use for one.

Or are we not thinking of the same thing?

He's laughing because he thought you were joking about the BBQ thing.

In this sense, a rotisserie is a device which allows you to rotate a body shell around its longitudinal axis.
I will post some pics of my race ute on one upside down so you can see how handy they are.

Nothing is going to be legal. It will be a custom buggy that will eventually compete. (Someones gotta uphold the subaru name).

Basically, I want a bodied 4wd, that isnt IF/RS, subaru, and totally custom.
Lux T-case wont work with this setup as it's not divorced. You could try Nissan 720 or Lada plus there are yank transfers out there with some great ratio choices but you might find them too big and heavy.

Ooooooooooooooooh I getcha now. Its like an engine stand, but its bigger and for a body and there is 2. Yeah ive seen them, but nah, Ill just roll the body onto its roof. Its only a small dent.

Thanks for those brumbyrunner.

How strong is the rotisserie? Could I climb on the body, move around and stuff? While its on the rotisserie?

With the rotisserie you don't have to, just turn it round so you can get to what you want to get to!

You probably could if you were careful but it moves arond a bit. If you made yours bigger and stronger...anythings possible. You really don't need to.

So that hacked up red L sedan is your rock crawler? Tell me, why not use an L coupe instead? Something like this-:Image

What is your target wheelbase and track? The L series wb is only 96" and it looks like you have shortned it. I'm got about 101" on my race ute with a 59" track.

I don't know if you've seen these before but the first belongs to Qman off the USMB. I believe it has a Navara or 720 rear diff.

I have no info on this but it appears to me to have f&r live axles and coilovers.

Oh ok. Do you have any pics of the rotisserie with no body on it?

Because the body I can get for $20 is not a coupe. And I was gunna hack it up so it would fit on my sierra swb chassis, but I can get a bundera rolling chassis for $1000, or a mog rolling chassis for $6000.

Whatever it turns out to be. Probably aim to get around 100" WB.

On outerlimits.

96" ey. Thats not too bad. I can put 4" longer trailing arms in the rear of the bundera chassis to make it 96".

What if I was to drill a hole in the suby body, and put a bolt through it, into a body mount on the chassis?
