Hi All

Just a newbie introducing myself. A couple of people said they were interested in seeing some pics from some of my trips - climbing/canyoning/hiking etc, so I thought I'd post a few up!

None of these are particularly 'out-there', but I hope some of you appreciate them!

This is me 'cleaning' a climb so others can top-rope it (Blue Mountains)

This is me at the Warrumbungles (NSW). It took a while to find a suitable cliff-break to get to this point, but the view of the campground and split-rock (I think thats its name) were worth it!

This is from the top of the 2nd Pyramid at Girraween National Park (QLD). Climbing on granite slabs is very scary! (think of a cheese grater if you slip)

I know these aren't subi pics, but my outback is only a recently acquired tool to let me get to more of these fantastic places!

I have plenty more pics I can post if people are interested!

those are awesome photos
tells me that u arent (or shuldnt be) afraid of heights :p

dont think id be to game to go up as high as some fo them look lol

who took the photos aswell ? or was it on a timer

looks like ur on top of the world. good shots

Those 4 were taken by a friend of mine who was in the university bushwalking club last year (German guy - was only here for the year). I do often use the old timer, but never for the action shots!

As for heights, I still get a bit nervy sometimes (especially lead climbing). My sense of self-preservation has kept me out of harms way thus far though.

A few more pics:

A sandbar in the middle of Lake Cootharaba, canoing between Elanda Point and Harry's Hut (and back the next day). To this day I have never driven along the road to Harry's!

Abseiling down a 40m(ish) waterfall at the exit point of Emperor's Canyon (Blue Mountains). The camera is in a diving case - perfect for canyons (unfortunately also not mine)

Day 1 of 10 on the Overland Track (Tassie) last winter. This was coming up to Marions Lookout from memory.

Day 3 of the above trek - had a massive frost that froze even some larger puddles. Was perfect photo weather that day (we only had 2 days of clear weather out of 10).

If anyone is interested in some of these pursuits let me know - I'm always happy to find more people to go on trips with! I generally only go climbing/canyoning with people more experienced that I, but I'm getting better. I'd especially be interested in a convoy of subaru's when scouting out some remote areas that are '4x4 only' in the national parks north of Roma (Mt Mofatt, Expedition National Park, Robinson's Gorge etc).

Hi Red Beard holy i wouldn't go up a fire tower never mind go down a water fall like that great pics :)
