They look a bit like the tyres that BYB had some years ago , they were actual tyres.

Haha awesome. I've thought of making tyre-less offroad rims before. My idea was to drill heaps of holes in the rims and bolt lots of massive bolts through and use them for traction.

that'd work ok untill all the bolts bend over or break off........then you're stuck with no traction at all:D

yer they woulda been thick ones and not that long. plus admittedly I had put about 0.02 of a second of thought into it :)
