Alex I now grow my own Aussie garlic It's easy. Yes some of these countries use HUMAN poo as well as chook poo etc for fertilizer.
I have a very sensitive friend who was really enjoying the chinese "ya pears" till i told her bout the fertilizers...she was very unhappy! I dont think she even looked at another piece of fruit for a week...& shes a vegetarian lol
