I was just holding something to get the nozzle in and clean things up real good, and the bloody jet tore through my flesh without warning :(

Lucky it's only a civ level pressure cleaner.

When I worked for TPCM we used 6000psi heated/soaping pressure cleaners for washing mining equipment.

Saw them cut straight through work pants, boots and into skin. :|

So many burns and bruises!

That was my electric Ryobi with the click in nozzles !

Nobody was crazy enough though. Someone thought it would be funny to point one at my calf. That was his last day. Stupid dangerous things.

To actually put my 2c into the thread,

I bought the most powerful compact Gerni I could purchase from Bunnings and that has done very well every time I needed it. Comes with Turbo head, Pavement cleaner and extended hose. All metal pumping system, nice watertight fittings and buttons.

I owned a Karcher before but it was much less grunty and broke once under warranty, broke again under warranty and I took it back, got store credit and then got the Gerni.

1400PSI feels like a garden hose compared to the 6000psi...

Cars need their paint though. :P
