Ok who has one , what is it and what are your thoughts on your quad, really not sure which way to go , buy a good brand one or go for a cheap Chineese one.

Talkin farm(ish) bikes
or racing kind of ones. I'm a Honda man which ever one you're talking about

Honda to the farm is like bread to the butter. Buy the brand with bikes I think.

Ha ha your silly Bren!
Yeh I have had two quad bikes before, both hondas. The first one I bought brand new and owned for a long time and I never had any problems with it. That was the 250ex which is a sports styled bike but with the same set up as the farm bikes (eg. no clutch). The second one was the 400ex and bought second hand but I didnt own this one for a very long time, mainly because I moved house and didnt go out much after that as I didnt have anywhere to ride close by.
One of my friends has always owned hondas as well and he has never had any issues with them, he currently has the 450ex model and even after making a lot of mods to the bike it is still reliable.
I dont know much about the cheaper chinese quads personally but I know a few mates that bought mini bikes from a chinese manufacturer and always had parts breaking as they werent as strong. I dont think they had any problems finding replacement parts though and were able to fit brand name bike parts onto their bikes which was a plus.
Not sure if any of that helped but I hope you have luck with whatever you end up with

Cheer's Amber, definately no chineese bike ,heard to many probs with them from people now along the lines of things breaking , just not strong enough.
Will most likely go new , just to decide what brand.

guy at work just bought a 2007 Banchee quad, apparently lots of people rekon they are the best. Cost him $7000 brand new off the showroom floor. It's been absolutely thrashed every weekend for the last 2 months and not shown a sign of any problem yet.

My parents have quads that used for fishing. One was a honda 250 the other a suzuki 350.The 250 went heeps harder than the 350 both frame s are totally rusted out from years on the beach but the motors were still going strong.
