Its all good up on the northside. You may have seen the footage on the news about the Gap.I've seen it first hand, the mail must get thru lol, the place is like a war zone. Its unbelievable and suprising no one was seriously injured or killed.Plenty of water running off equals lots of sideways and wheelspin action on the old ct110

Morayfield got 108mm the other night and about another 30 tonight. We lost 3 trees in the front yard. 2 snapped and one blew over. Our driveway is in the neighbors front yard. The high school has a tree on it.

Not to bad though compared to the gap. (I wonder if that house I built over there is still standing?)

All good my arse. Pics are a bit blury but this is the front yard and the road sunday arvo.....It was a little deeper than this sunday night when I got home. I could still see the tops of the road markers on both of my crossings and there were powerlines in the water at one stage !!! Obviously not that deep, they had fallen down. Trees uprooted and snapped off all over the place.

Not really. It's something I've lived with for 90% of my life so the novelty is well and truely gone. Today was the first day I got a clear and free run to work. No water !! But it isn't that far from coming over the road again.

personally havn't had any damage to work or home but there is ALOT of water around my work. 2 of the 3 exits were closed yesterday, could have easily driven through one of them in the lib but the coppers wouldnt allow it

amazing amount of water around the place. I really feel sorry for everyone with damage but personally I LOVE storms. about time we got some decent ones. the last few summers have been boring. this is really just the weather getting back to its old self.

thats some water at your place Bur - how close to your house is that??

I saw the Toyboata this morning driving past and I think he has been having a go at us. The thing was spotless. It did sound quite strange, there was a"dingalinga dangalonga my wife ran away with my dog" music coming from it.

Best thing about these storms is the fishing is going to be awesome once it is over.

All the best to those stuck in the thick of it - I'm sure most of Oz is thinking of you guys (while also thinking "send some of that bloody weather over here").

I too love storms - we had one of the best nights ever for storms last week for this area, they started at about 9pm and died out just before dawn...

Hopefully no more carnage up that way.

Hmm I'll go with 50-100m. The block is in a valley, but the house is built up on the other side of the valley and has never even come close to coming up.

Oh and we had water damage at work. Mopped up quite a few buckets of water Monday morning. Lots of damaged boxes of bits and pieces that all went in the bin. Computers got fried and we didn't get power back until 115pm, home was 4pm.

Hhmm more thunderstorms forecast for thisarvo and tomorrow.

How about, the best thing is you might have some spare water in the dams for a while.

Or did all your rainwater run into the ocean again?

Ahh....for the fish....I get it now.

I don't know why they are all worried about the dams. There is plenty of water in our taps. Maybe we should just run a long garden hose out there and fill them up...............................
