some here may remember back in 04 i think it was i thought i had cancer but thankfully it was a lung infection....well about 4 months ago i started to get soreness in my right shoulder that would not go away.i went the other month for a check up to see what it was.i was sent for an xray to have a look.....everything was ok appart from a bit of fluid buildup but at the end of the report it stated some cystic things were seen.....oh bugger....i was then sent for a ct scan to look at that and a further look at my should as now i was starting to loose feeling in part of my hand as well....got the results back and was told something is pinching the ulnar nerve in my arm somewere?....i'm thinking...ok lets find the sucker and fix it but he was not finished...turns out the little cystic thingy they saw on xray turned out to be a 15mm growth on my right lung sorrounded with air pockets and cystic strands comming off it....second oh bugger with a bit more panic....for some made reason my arm does not seem as urgent just now...the thought is that whatever it is in my chest could be pushing up and as a result effecting my arm.....i'm not saying its cancer but whatever it is its not good..i'm booked to get the possible bad news on the 13th of jan at the lung specialists...worst timming to as i am so close to having the purple car finished for zita but now i cant even wipe my own butt witout pain, right arm is almost useless......if it is cancer then i guess it could be my own stupid fault...i gave up smoking for 9 years but took it back up again with the stress from the now ended bad marrage...guess they could be right about the smoking thing???

All the best for January Chubby and stay positive until they definitely say what it is and enjoy your Christmas/New Year mate.
I don't think anything could drive me back to smoking or drinking heavily, I don't know how my wife put up with the smell & bad manners.

Sorry to hear this Bill. I know it sounds repetitive but being positive is a must. Good luck to you and have a peaceful Christmas with family and friends and good health to you in the new year.

Yeah, I've also got cystic things in me that I'm told are 'not an issue' at the moment (despite them cutting them out once before and then growing back) , but could be a prob down the track - neck and chest - woohooo... stay posi, when you let your "ale"ment become you, then it has won.

ouch.. good luck and all the best - keep us updated see how you're going... I know someone recently had a cyst in his lungs and had to get that part removed and now he has 1 and half lungs... not good..
Cheers

Good luck at the specialists, And it maybe hard but try to enjoy Xmas and the new year all the same. Plus on the up side there are that many people beating these sorts of things today your chances are getting better by the day! And I would prefer one and a half good lungs to none! Once again all the best of luck and don't let it get you down.

all the best with your current situation im sure all the people on here will be thinking of you ,and yes all you can do is remain positive we have a two year old grandson was born with a braintumour picked up when he was three months old he has has oral chemo till last xmas then they stopped as it had shrunk a little ,he has had no more chemo since then and we have remained so positive and ive said nobody is taking my little man away from me ,he has an mri every three months and its still shrinking only a tiny bit at a time but if that stops the poor little bugger from having to go back on chemo then that is wonderful news ,every good bit of news is the best news .so remain positive and you will beat whatever it may be take care cheers mrs dibs
