What does it do?

Post by morrisfishermanfly » Sun May 24, 2009 1:44 pm

Hi,

I have just purchased an older (1994) imported subaru legacy and am really happy with it. Unfortunately is has come without owner manuals, service histroy etc. There are 2 controls I can't fathom. The first sits just above the auto gear leaver and is a push down button, has no visable markings (but it is a bit old and these could have worn off) have no idea what this does. The second is beside the shift and has a symbol of a window/wash/wipe type but I have all the controls for washing front and rear windows on the column stick.

Can anyone help it is driving me crazy aagghhhhhh

The first switch you can push it down and move the gear shifter without having to apply pressure on the brake pedal.

as for the second switch, not sure? maybe a pic would help.
