NSW - We're not hoons!

Post by AlpineRaven » Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:24 am

Sorry if It has been posted before, I know I'm from Victoria but I've filled it in anyway, but support this NSW Hoon's Law -

The NSW Labor Government has delayed the introduction of their harsh new vehicle suspension regulations.

The regulations, which prohibited car owners from raising or lowering their suspension by no more than five centimetres, saw many drivers labelled as ‘hoons’.

Here the link - http://www.nothoons.com.au/

Cheers

I can see air suspensioned L Series owners dropping by the RTA orifice and at the press of a button changing their height by 80 mm - nyah, stick that !

There are reasons behind it as explained in a car mag some time ago, based on Commodore IRS bushings that are not designed to be lowered after market -strains the bushings 'spokes' or full bushing replacements makes rear too twitchy and sends cars off course in extreme conditions - into other cars, trees etc

* EA82T Jap spec L series Wagon.

My old man has had similar trouble with the L series' he's had and his current brumby. He raised them to 2", but wouldn't go further for fear of the Man.
Living in Canada now. Looking at all these SVXs for sale...
