Fencing ideas

Post by rob83ke70 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 7:32 pm

I'm after opinions and suggestions here - I have a pool style fence out the front of my house, 1200mm high with vertical rungs. I'd like to attach something to the fence to cover the gaps so it isn't "see through" anymore. It needs to look as neat and tidy as possible, and shouldn't cost the earth :???:

Possible ideas are rectangles of shade cloth the same colour as the fence, bamboo screening the same size as the panels, or maybe even sheet metal or timber.

If I was to go down the bamboo path, can someone reccommend where to buy the stuff? I'm after as neat a job as possible, which means I need the screening to fit the panels perfectly.

The whole idea is to prevent the rampaging great hounds that I own from seeing the goings on in the street and barking their heads off!

Any suggestions and ideas much appreciated!

Robert.

old roller doors are excellent for this job! An old friend did his then painted his colour, capped off and look duck guts. I made a garden shed using them as cladding. Cheap and cheerful looks great
