OK, living in a multi cultural country like Australia you do see the odd man-kiss between grown men of Euro or other continents (NO! NOT ON THE LIPS THING the cheek thing ! ) but tonight, and how can you avoid it - the wedding - saw a clip of two young princes giving their dad, another prince - the man-kiss. Not been a traditional Aussie culture, shoot we usually only shake hands on first intro and long not seen you or gonna see you fer a long time sort of stuff.
OOH CRAMP, CRAMP!! left leg, now right hip CRIPES !!
Bloody Nora, that was difficult moment
Are grown Aussie men of non Euro background now doin' the man-kiss?
How long has it been goin' on in the Royal Family?

Hey Jonno !
In the UK we really like to think we are
not part of continental Europe, so there is
NO MAN KISSING going off here ! And if there is then they are either into ''man love'' or they are ''Johnny Foreigners'' or possibly a professional soccer player- either way they should be deported to France.
Our hapless politicians seem to want us to become part of Mainland Europe where in certain countrys they do a bit of the man pecking thing (Phapppha !)
usually in France or Italy or Belgium.
No not for us mate - a good, strong, firm gripping hand shake looking the bugger straight in the eye (no finger tickling masonic stuff either) and not to last more than 3 shakes - otherwise I'd be thinking this other gezzer is after somthing ! And getting ready to Thwack him in the face for been far too friendly.
In certain parts of England and Scotland the usual welcome is half house brick hurled in your general direction with words like F**K Off ya Bas***d !
No time for hand shakes there then !:???:

Yes but the half brick is reserved for the women and kids - the gorilla blokes take all the full bricks ! - and I could take you to see these places where these type still exist

People used to get 10 lashings in a public square. Times change. The more you hold onto the old ways, the more you will get frustrated and bitter. Relax and go with the flow.
You don't have to give a man kiss if you don't want to. But maybe observe what makes someone want to? Maybe they've experienced more culture from around the world and have picked some of the positives?
In some places a strong handshake isn't a sign of friendship, it's a standoff move that shows you want to keep things purely professional.
IMHO.
